Soft, cheesy egg bites made easily in any egg cooker. Perfect for a quick breakfast or snack with simple ingredients and rich flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk or cream
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- pinch of salt
- pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Lightly coat the egg cooker’s egg bite molds or small cups with a little oil or cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk until smooth.
- Stir in cheddar, mozzarella, green onions, salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the molds, filling each cup about ¾ full.
- Add the recommended amount of water to the egg cooker base (usually the same amount as for medium or hard-boiled eggs, depending on your cooker).
- Place the molds inside, close the lid, and turn on the cooker.
- Cook until the machine shuts off. Most egg cookers take about 8–12 minutes for egg bites.
- Let them sit for one minute, then remove the bites carefully.
Tips
- Add cooked veggies, small chicken pieces, or spices for extra flavor.
- If you want softer bites, add a little more milk.
- For firmer bites, reduce the milk slightly.
