Chocolate Chip Waffles
These homemade chocolate chip waffles are light, fluffy, and loaded with melty chocolate in every bit. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dessert, they're easy to make and taste amazing with maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit. A delicious twist on classic waffles that kids and adults will both love.
Ingredients
- 2 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ¾ cups milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle maker.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not over mix)
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Grease the waffle iron lightly, then pour in better ( about 1/2 to 3/4 cup per waffle, depending on your iron.)
- Cook according to your waffle maker's instruction until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra chocolate chips, maple syrup or whipped cream.
