Classic Waffles
Soft inside, lightly crisp outside classic mini waffles, perfect for quick breakfasts or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the mini waffle maker and lightly grease it.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix gently until just smooth.
- Pour about 2-3 tablespoons batter into the mini waffle maker.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
- Remove carefully and repeat.
Tips:
- Don't overfill. Mini makers need less batter.
- For crispier waffles, cook 20-30 seconds longer.
- Keep cooked waffles warm in a low oven if making a batch.
